Political rantings behind the cut.
It used to bother me when people wouldn't take the time to vote. But now, you know, I realize now that it's not just laziness and an ignorance of current events and apathy that keeps people from the polls. I mean, logically, I knew that certain people abstained from voting as a form of protest, but emotionally, I couldn't understand it. Led to a bit of subtle and not so subtle judgements on my part.

Boy, was I wrong.

I won't vote for Kerry. The whole "anybody but Bush" thing is all well and good, but I don't trust Kerry and I certainly don't have faith in him to fix the shit Duh broke. I think Kerry's a weasel, and worse yet, a weak-willed weasel. And I don't want my vote behind him.

I might do a write in, or I might vote Green if that's an option and I'll vote for local offices (and how I wish this was a gubenatorial election year) but no Kerry for me. Nader is not an option for me, because without the pretense of national funding for the Greens, a party I fully support, his bid is pure vanity.

But in other news, I'm watching Army of Darkness right now. Ah, Bruce Campbell and his fabulous hair.

My friend Judie went to a book signing of his, and got his autograph on a sugar packet she had taken from work. Now she can say that Bruce Campbell gave her some sugar.
