Contact your senators/representative and save internet radio

For the first time, I called the offices of my senators and representatives to support the "Internet Radio Equality Act". In protest of a terrible, retroactive internet radio rate hike ruling by the Copyright Review Board, Pandora is holding a day of silence. Most internet radio stations want low rates so its profitable for them to play advertisements sometimes in exchange for playing music the rest of the time. I don't see why it's important that I make it easy for you to listen to, or watch, advertisements.

If you care about music, pay for it!

P.S. I only use last.fm for its logging and recomendations engine; I never listen to music using it, nor any other internet radio station, since I only listen to independent music. I didn't know there was a day of silence until you mentioned it.

P.P.S Good job contact your congresspeople, though. I'm always a fan of hands-on democracry.
