I discovered a pretty cool and useful Facebook app named iLike a few days ago. It implements the "show me bands I like who are touring near me" very well, and it has all other nice kinds of social features built in. It's done way better than something that I could hack up in my spare time, and hence, I quit ( Read more... )

Rob, you're a rock star! I work at iLike - and was listening to Pandora this morning and thinking, I wish I could 'iLike' a song from within Pandora... but we'll never get around to building something like that... :)

Cool, I hope it worked.

I can't tell if you are serious about the never getting around to build something like that, but it seems to be really useful. Even just a buried option in your UI to import data from other sites (last.fm would be great, too) would be awesome. Pandora seems very reasonable with their data access policies, I wonder why they haven't gotten around to making a "Thumbs Up" feed yet. http://blog.pandora.com/pandora/archives/2006/02/pandora_21_rss.html

Anyway, great job with iLike, I guess I am a little disappointed that I didn't write it, but I am glad it exists.
