He wasn’t an idiot. Far from it...if he wasn’t semi intelligent then he wouldn’t have been able to survive three wars and ten years in the NSA.

but he wasn’t a machine, he had feelings and emotions just like everyone else...living each day, remembering what he had lived through must have been harder than Chuck could possibly imagine. Yet he still did his job. Did it well and with no complaints. He was truly an amazing man.

LOVE it when this stuff gets recognized!! It's beyond true. Of course, love rest of the chapter as well (semi-awake morning grope ftw!), but just had to mention that.
