Summary: Casey wants to know what has upset Chuck so badly.
When Casey had tried to call Chuck and received no answer he wasn’t too worried as he knew he could’ve just been in the bathroom or making himself a sandwich and left his phone in his room. However, he went to check the cameras anyway just to make sure (you could never be too careful) and what he found shocked him a little.
Chuck was in his room and appeared unharmed, unharmed apart from the fact that he was bawling his eyes out.
He had his legs crossed in front of him and his face buried in his hands while his entire body shook with pain filled sobs.
Checking the other cameras he could see that Ellie and Awesome were rather busy in the other bedroom and so neither of them would be able to comfort Chuck and make sure he wasn’t having some sort of breakdown. Walker was out on a mission and so that left himself. He would have to go over there and do his best to try and get him to stop crying.
Turning off his equipment and grabbing his gun he quickly made his way out of the house and across the courtyard to Chuck’s window. Pulling it open he easily slipped inside, a little bit worried about the fact that Chuck didn’t seem to have heard him.
Looking about himself for clues as to what could’ve upset Chuck so much, he couldn’t see anything. His computer and games console was turned off, his phone was sitting over by his stereo so it couldn’t be anything to do with them. The television was on but it was showing some weird British show that looked more like a sitcom or something rather than anything that could upset Chuck so badly.
And so deciding that he indeed needed to find out what was breaking Chuck’s heart so badly he walked round to the other side of the bed and sat down next to him.
“Chuck?”
At feeling the bed dip and hearing his name, Chuck snapped his head up to look at him. And then he threw himself at Casey, wrapping his arms tightly around him and howling into his shoulder.
Although he was more than a little uncomfortable, Casey knew that Chuck had to be extremely upset to be acting in such a way and so held him back.
“Shhh,” he said as he softly rubbed his hand up and down his back, “It’s okay.”
“No,” Chuck sobbed out, “No it’s not.”
Casey was quiet for a moment before speaking again, “What happened?” he asked, slightly fearful of the answer.
“He’s dead,” Chuck told him, “They killed him.”
Casey froze, his hold on Chuck tightening, “Who’s dead?” he asked, fearing that it was going to be Morgan or someone as equally as close to Chuck.
“Ianto,” Chuck said before bursting into tears again.
Casey frowned, not knowing who the hell he was talking about, “I’m sorry Chuck,” he said softly, trying to be as sensitive as was possible, “But I don’t know who that is.”
Chuck pulled back and looked at him, blinking wet eyelashes together before smiling sadly, “Of course you don’t,” he said before finally rubbing the wetness off his face, “God I feel so stupid.”
Casey frowned again, “Chuck? Who is he?”
Chuck sighed, “He’s uh… he’s a character on Torchwood,” he told him before snivelling again.
“Torchwood? That’s that gay sci fi show you like?”
Chuck rolled his eyes at the ‘gay’ reference but let it pass, nodding instead, “And they killed him off. I can’t believe they actually did that. I mean, why? Why him? Why not kill off Gwen or Rhys, why Ianto? I mean he’s the best thing about the whole show. How could they do that?”
Casey knew he should probably be pissed off at Chuck for getting him so worried but couldn’t bring himself to get angry, instead smiling slightly, “Since I don’t watch it I have no idea why they would do that, but I’m sure they have their reasons.”
“Yeah, piss off all the real fans,” Chuck stated, “I mean, they did that anyway when they changed the format of this season to only five episodes instead of thirteen, so I guess I shouldn’t really be surprised that they wouldn’t care about pissing us off even more.”
Casey sat there, watching as Chuck went from devastated, to angry, to deflated in the space of thirty seconds, a smile on his face the entire time. Chuck seemed to notice that he was finding this whole thing amusing and became rather annoyed at him.
“It’s not funny,” Chuck told him, “I’m really upset here.”
“I know,” Casey nodded, “But come on, it’s a TV show. It’s not like he’s a real person.”
“You don’t get it,” Chuck said, looking away from him.
“You’re right I don’t,” Casey nodded, “And I probably never will. But I can at least try and make it all better.”
Chuck’s face lit up, “Are you going to take out Russell T Davies? Cause you know, I’ll love you forever if you do.”
“I have no idea who that is, so no,” Casey said making the hopeful smile fall from Chuck’s face.
“So how are you going to make it better then?” Chuck asked, “Cause it’s not like you can bring him ba…”
Chuck’s question was cut off as Casey leaned forward and placed a soft kiss on his lips. When he sat back, Chuck sat still, stunned for a moment before he looked up at Casey.
“You’re gonna kiss it better?” he asked in a slightly squeaky voice.
Casey shrugged, “You think it’ll work?”
“I don’t know,” Chuck told him, “You should probably try again.”
Casey smiled at Chuck and leaned forward, kissing him again, only this time he took things slow, gently teasing Chuck’s mouth open with a flick of his tongue and deepening the kiss.
Chuck wrapped his arms around Casey’s shoulders and pulled him down onto the bed with him, wrapping his legs around his thighs as he did so and pulling him close.
Pulling back, Casey studied Chuck closely, “Did it work?” he asked quietly.
Chuck thought about it for a moment before answering, “I’m still upset,” he said, “But I don’t think I’ll cry anymore. I’ll just need to accept that a part of me, as a fanboy, will forever be missing.”
“A part of you is missing?” Casey asked with another smile.
Chuck nodded, “I may never squee again.”
“God forbid,” Casey joked before leaning back in for another kiss.
