there's a part of me that actually perversely thinks it would be hilarious to see McCain/Palin elected and McCain die in office. I mean, the sheer incompetence of a Sarah Palin presidency trying to play tough to Iran or Russia or whoever the enemy du jour is at that point. (Come on, wouldn't you love to see her try to take on Putin? Wouldn't you?

I think she could take on anyone, maybe given the right speech writers. To publicly call yourself a "pitbull with lipstick" takes a lot of balls. And her comment about how she, like Obama, did community work, but "with real responsibilities" as mayor, I thought haha whoa.

though if she were president, I don't have much hope of achieving peace between the US and any other country that has an issue with them. They need someone less aggressive.

I thought it was mean and petty, and actually quite typically Republican. It reminded me of when another Republican governor made a comment to her supporters along the lines of "Funny as it may seem, $500 is a lot of money to some people." It showed how far removed they are from the realities of working people.

The trouble is, she is a totally insane right wing fundamentalist Christian who very likely believes in the "End of Days" (or is it "end of time", I can't keep up with these nut cases) and will do anything to hasten its coming so she can be pulled up to heaven in the rapture.

Would anyone in their right mind want this women within 5,000 miles of the black box with the nuclear launch codes?

That said, she would certainly give Dan Quail a run for the money as to who was the dumbest vice president ever.
