This was fantastic :) Everyone was so much in character - I loved the way you showed Neal's resilience and adaptibility without downplaying the pain of being taken away by Kramer, and everyone working on getting him back and seeing him - amazing. I liked that the agents on Kramer's teem were real people, some of them even very likable. And then Kramer - he wasn't evil personified, just a sick, mean old man, hurting from the perceived betrayal of his old friend. I was amazed and delighted that you managed to give everyone a happy ending, or at least hope. It's been a real pleasure to read this.

Thank you so much for sharing this story with us!

Thank you so much, Sheenianni, for your kind words. You have no idea how much I enjoyed writing this!

Our fandom is so lucky--so many fully-realized characters, complexly (did I just make up a word?) drawn, and so many well-defined relationships to draw on. We will be writing and enjoying fic for a long time to come!

I am amazed that you finished the whole thing so quickly! Thank you for reading.

I really loved this, Ru! You did a terrific job of juggling all the characters and their various activities, all of which weaved together really well. All the canon characters felt 'right,' and all the OCs in the Art Crimes division were well-realized despite their relatively short 'screen time.' The whole thing has a terrific balance of plottiness and character stuff. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much, dear! I wanted very much to be true to the characters, and to showcase how well our guys work together as a team. Many hands make light work!

This was a real pleasure to write and share.

What an absolutely fantastic story. I have company coming and a million things to do, but once I started your story, I couldn't put it down. Good thing sleep is overrated, because I'm not going to be getting any of it tonight. But it was so worth it to get caught up in your little tale. I have to say, Neal's reaction when Peter had to tell him that he wasn't there to take him home actually had me in tears.I so loved the way you had Neal ingratiate himself with the people surrounding him in DC. That is so Neal. To know him is to love him. And when Peter hugged Neal--it doesn't get any better than that. You did a wonderful job and I hope to read more from you soon. Thanks so much for sharing.

Oh! Thank you so much! I'm so happy you enjoyed it! (Sorry about the dinner party!) For those of us who write--we'll, ART--reviews are the "coin of the realm" and you filled my purse to overflowing.

Thank you for reading and thank you thank you thank you for reviewing.

I loved this fic! Neal was perfectly in character - I loved Neal SO MUCH in this fic, OMG, there are too many fics where he goes to DC, rolls over, and dies - Peter's impatience contrasted with Neal's patience was (probably unintentionally) hilarious, Diana and Sara were especially badass, and the fic was awesome! Loved how you made even Kramer human towards the end. Awesome!

I'm so pleased you enjoyed it sapphire2309! One of the big draws of this story, for me, was capturing Neal at the height of his respect and admiration for Peter. Neal has survived prison, kidnapping and uncertainty and I can see him going into survival mode to get by. The isolation was really the worst part for him, being noble without even an audience to praise him and encourage him. Realizing he was both known AND valued was what Neal needed most.

Thank you so much for reading and taking time to respond.

Whew! That was a ride and I just feel the relief that finally Neal is back. I normally don't care for DC fics because Neal is always tortured so much, and frankly OOC. But here, you kept up the tension, Neal was strong, and he was smart, and he made friends. I'm glad Kramer came around in the end, but frankly I like keeping him as the villain. I just can't see him turning nice. And I'm petty that way. :D

Really enjoyed the whole gang working to get Neal back. Sara and Mozzie were a hoot.

I'm so pleased you enjoyed it! Yes, it WAS good to get Neal home again, wasn't it? I think Neal is smart and resourceful and determined--he would do what he had to do to survive if he knew help was coming,
Writing Sara and Mozzie in tandom is really a treat--so much to pull from, so much "smart" and sassy to use. Thank you for taking time to let me know you enjoyed it!
