I went to an apple orchard in Connecticut yesterday. It was the first time i'd ever gone apple picking, and it was a lot of fun. The best part was, on the way back to the car, the parking attendant (who had been waving an orange flag to direct traffic) got tired. He decided to turn his flag upside down and sit on the end of the pole. He tried

Never been apple picking? Did you grow up with an apple tree in your yard like everybody else? I've never lived in a place that didn't have an apple tree. :-)

yeah, no, never picked 'em before. never had an apple tree in my back or front yard for that matter. but i intend to one day when i have my own house! that way i can apple pick all the time :-D

Oooh I know the problem. You need to come to Washington. I guess I thought it was normal to have an apple tree in your yard. Just like it's normal to have earthquakes and volcanos.
