Blame it on stupidity!

I've had a great start to my summer break.

Friday was entertaining. Bought some clothes and a book, went to Tabby's for drinking, and went to the bar. I didn't drink too much, and it was generally entertaining.

Saturday was full of awesome. Survival tag was great. It was sunny out, I got to hang out with friends, and get exercise, and not get sun burnt. We went out to dinner to Red Papya afterwards, and while my meal was too spicy, the spring rolls were delicious, much like candy. I then went to Danny's and watched this crazy program on Discovery that reminded me of Jurassic Park, without the dinasaurs eating people. They ate each other instead when they broke out of their pens.

Sunday was good as well. My grandpa came over for a prime rib lunch, and then I went over to Danny's again and watched Rumour Has It. The movie was terrible, but the company was good.

Monday was spent dragging Danny around Guelph to go shopping. We went to Lens Mill, and I didn't end up buying anything. We went to Winners, and I didn't buy anything. We went to East Sides for lunch. We went to Fabric land, and I didn't buy anything. We went to the Dragon, and I bought the first Trinity Blood novel, and the second volume of Kare First Love. We then went back to Danny's to watch Click, went to the food court for dinner, and then to Chapters where I bought the second volume of Vampire Knight, some fun looking romance novel, and a pop-up book for Danny. Steven King wrote the pop-up book, and it's actually really awesome.

Today I slept in, put highlights in my hair, read some fanfics, and relaxed in the morning. In the evening, Danny and I went to the Boathouse to get ice cream and sit at the park. It was crazy. The geese there were dive-bombing each other. I've never seen anything like it before. After that we went to Fabric Land again, and I spent 60+ dollars on materials for my Lenne costume. While costly, the colours and fabric are exactly what I was looking for, and I have a pattern of sorts for the top, so I don't need to worry about butchering it like I did with the Lazuli costume. I also spent 80$ at Suzy Shier buying skirts and shorts and tank tops so that I actually have clothes to wear to work. The past three summers I've been wearing track-pants and sweaters to stay warm, so this is a great change. Dinner was Caribou Creek, and it was tasty. It was followed by a trip to Zellers and then to the gym.

Tomorrow I'm going to Kitchener to get my hair cut, go for lunch with my grandpa and visit my grandma, whom I hope is feeling a great deal better. Then I have to drop off the book for Teri that I didn't bring her tonight, because I'm an idiot. Then I'll work on my Lenne costume for AN. Very exciting indeed.

I'm starting work on Monday, and I'll be working 8 to 4. I'm actually quite fond of the shift, as I'll be able to get out with enough time to walk home for dinner when the weather's nice, and still have daylight hours to do stuff. I'm sure some days I'll want to come in earlier, but I'm not sure I'd be allowed.

I have such high hopes for the summer, though friends not in Guelph will be greatly missed.

Also, because I was bored, and it's awesome, everyone should take this:
