Could you expound on this statement? anonymous January 26 2006, 20:40:56 UTC
"Obviously, there are things that the Bible deems wrong that the Constitution doesn't necessarily oppose, and pretty much anyone can name a few certain hot-button issues right off the top of their head. However, why is it that Christians are so willing to fight issues like abortion and homosexual marriage on grounds that the Bible adamantly opposed to it, but are even more willing to ignore other issues that the Bible is against, but are things that are perfectly acceptable in our nation today?"

Question: What are the other issues that you are refering to when you mention Christians are "willing to ignore" and "are perfectly acceptable in our nation today?"

Namely divorce, but also adultery. All throughout Scripture are both of those condemned. And for those Christians who believe that our law was based upon the 10 Commandments, you can throw those in there, too, but that sure won't fly ( ... )
