what imdb says: An extraterrestrial race forced to live in slum-like conditions on Earth suddenly find a kindred spirit in a government agent that is exposed to their biotechnology.
- This movie was epiiic.
- You start off with the Michael Scott of this South African company that is set up to protect people from this huge ass spaceship. It's huge ass, it's been there for 20 years and these creepy as fuck aliens emerge from it. Now Wikus, the main character has to evict these aliens from their homes and relocate them... so it's an allegory too. Basically this movie is ridiculous.
- The movie was made for super cheap, 30 million dollars for a sci-fi action film whereas movies like The Dark Knight have a budget of like 200 million. So they did an amaaaaaazing job for not a lot of money, which makes the movie a lot better.
- Things EXPLODE.
- And even though things EXPLODE, there is plot and story line and THOUGHT. The movie requires THINKING! I love movies that appeal to how I like watching things blow up but also make me think!
- The lead actor was really, really amazing. He goes through this huge transformation, literally and figuratively, and acts the pants off of this movie. Against things that aren't actually present and were CGI'd in later. I was very impressed.
- This movie is going to make a shit-ton of money. It was really good.
