Wellesley seems to accept a huge number of its Californian applicants. Did being around a bunch of Golden State kids in a completely foreign setting somehow effect the experience for you? A shared misery in late winter?

CA has the most students at Wellesley, even more than MA or NY. I'm not from CA...I'm from TX. In any case, winter sucks but you get used to it. This year's was particularly mild. I think it only affect people who've never seen snow or experienced darkness at 3 pm.
