just got back from buddakan - stephen starr's meatpacking district restaurant designed by christian liagre. food was so-so (think asian fusion: peking duck salad with poached egg, charred beef fillet with mustard) but decor was fab. i loved the warehouse location, the luxurious 30 feet ceiling in the grand hall and the louis xiv-meets-shanghai chic ( Read more... )

happy easter! yeah, there's so much stuff going on here that you just don't have time to do them all. the whitney biennial was pretty good - you should cross the atlantic to see it before it closes.

i'm really happy that it's spring. winter was bleah. i'm actually pretty busy on weekdays but try to get out a bit on weekends (very little clubbing though). the w hotel will be opening next door to me in summer next year, and i may be staying on a bit more (still considering)...

yeah. i'll prob be in town over thanksgiving cos it's the worst time to travel... do come! i have christmas too but don't you wanna go somewhere warmer? are you starting this fall?

yes! so exciting. the slightly longer hols are thanksgiving n spring recess. my christmas break starts from dec 20 and ends 1jan... i think i just might head home. yes! i could do NY for thanksgiving. spring break is just 1 week n it's too short to go back so i might go to the Caribbean or bermuda. maybe just cape cod/matha's vineyard.. i hear it's lovely there.
