just got back from buddakan - stephen starr's meatpacking district restaurant designed by christian liagre. food was so-so (think asian fusion: peking duck salad with poached egg, charred beef fillet with mustard) but decor was fab. i loved the warehouse location, the luxurious 30 feet ceiling in the grand hall and the louis xiv-meets-shanghai chic
