Hrmm... actually Americans may be that stupid. Look at what happened 9/11. People left their desks, they started to evacuate, then they went back to their desks upon hearing some moron tell them that everything is under control. And the people in the 2nd tower to be hit... what did they think? That the first tower was not going to topple over them, even if they weren't going to be hit next? Wonder how many more would have survived if they just said, FUCK IT, the building is on FIRE, let's evacuate. Bin Laden may have killed many, but I'm sure the stupidity and indecision of the corporate office environment was directly responsible for killing more.
