You only have four spices in your kitchen: Salt, Pepper, Ketchup, and Tabasco.

Most Texans would shoot ya if you put Ketchup and anything other than french fries. The statement above should also include Mustard.

Here in the PNW you must also have malt vinegar; except that I am a rebel and don't use it on my fries (or have it in my house).

Except that sweet tea is NOT the default in Texas. Ask for it here, and normally you get back, "All we have is regular."

You measure distance in minutes or hours.
Hell, I did that before I moved here! Anyone who does a lot of distance driving, for whatever reason, will develop that habit.

Only in the backwoods. In the city, you'll come back out and that car will be GONE. I suspect the same holds true in non-Texas areas as well.
