so guess what's happening on march 23 AND march 24?

the decemberists are playing the avalon, THAT'S WHAT!! i am trying to figure out a way to go to both. i'm so excited i might actually die.

I had a ticket to see them play at the Commodore in Vancouver when I was there last year, but they cancelled and reschedule it for after I had left the country.
And then I got back to London to find out that the standing and decent seating tickets at their show here had sold out while I was away.

how frustrating! when they came to my town last year, i happened to be in seattle, and by the time i got home, they'd gone over to the west coast! dammit. i have bad timing.

I would definitely go to both, they're so much fun live (that was how I got into them), and The Crane Wife is so, so wonderful.

Hopefully they'll be back over here for festival season :o)

the crane wife is....basically my life right now. i'm playing it for everyone i know & care about that hasnt heard it in detail yet, and forcing them to LOVE IT. haha!
