Summary: 3am the night after Sheldon and Penny have... you know...
This idea came to me when I was watching the end of episode 3.01, and I wondered what that scene would be like with Sheldon instead of Leonard... so; here's my version of it. In my head, it takes place at the end of episode 5.01 (possibly a tad optimistic?), hence the name.

Sheldon is sitting up in Penny’s bed, the comforter pulled up over his bare chest. The small bedside lamp casts a muted orange light over him and the notebook he is scribbling in.
After a moment he frowns and stops writing. He looks undecided for a moment, and then turns slightly away from the lamp’s light to the sleeping figure next to him.
He taps her three times on the shoulder. “Penny?” Three more times. “Penny?” Penny mumbles in her sleep but just turns her face into her pillow. Sheldon frowns and taps her three more times. “Penny!”
Penny groans and rolls over onto her back, clearly glaring up at Sheldon. “What?” She growls.
“Penny, on a scale of one to ten, one being the worst and ten being the best, how would you rate the -”
“Sheldon, what the hell are you doing?” Penny asks, sitting up next to him with her comforter clutched to her chest. She peers over his shoulder at the notebook on his lap and her eyes widen.
“You’re writing it up? Writing it up?”
Sheldon’s eyes widen at Penny’s tone. “Well, of course I am,” he says. “I’m a scientist, Penny, I document every aspect of my life - you never know when something will -”
“Whatever, stop talking now,” Penny interrupts him. She grabs the notebook out of his hand and flings it away from the bed.
“Penny!” Sheldon exclaims.
“It’s three in the morning Sheldon,” Penny said, leaning over him to turn off the light. “It’s time to sleep.” She presses a short kiss to his lips and then the room is plunged into darkness.
“Penny?”
“What Sheldon?”
“You’re on my chest.”
“I know. Go to sleep.”
“Okay. Good night, Penny.”
“Good night, Sheldon.”
