You are sitting at a table.
Spread before you is an assortment of little sandwiches and biscuits, colorful confections, and pots of tea with fragrant plumes of steam unfurling from their spouts. The lace tablecloth perfectly complements the delicate china and silverware.
(
Also, you are in the center of what appears to be a volcano )

Funny how the mind conjured things. The girl who had called herself Nova didn't look like Nova at all. Or act like her. She certainly wasn't familiar to Flame in any way. Perhaps it was someone that her friend knew from home. Or someone who had been here. Or just someone her mind had conjured for a dream.
It might be worth asking sometime, though. The strange Nova didn't seem like someone you'd want to meet in waking life. ]

On the other hand, that is classic Smudge.
And then she looks into the wolf's eyes. She's struck immediately by the strength of that feeling, the bond. It reminds her of the way she feels about her grandfather... and like her grandfather, he is out of reach.
The girl's arrival distracts her from that. It seems clear to Krile that she is trouble, but she looks like Nova for some reason. And then she calls her Nova, except she is apparently Nova herself... what?
When Krile opens her eyes, she sits up and tries to think all that through. There's a weird disconnection with the dream that the ending seemed to confirm. She's pretty sure that it was Nova's. But who were the wolf and the second Nova?]

Krile, and people she doesn't know. Mmm. Vaguely, Above wonders if the thermals over a volcano would be any good.]
