Yeah, so I suck at updating :p
Day 7.

Whatever tickles my fancy, eh? Well, how about I finally talk about GNW birthday weekend... warning, this may take awhile!
Firstly, oh my God the day of the 26th WAS SO GODDAMN STRESSFUL. The asstards cancelled my early flight, so I had to take a later one and didn't arrive at the studio till 2pm! Thankfully my peoples were already there. And I got cake! Made by kirrilee_t the night before... it was quite om nom nom, if I do say so myself :) Then they all took it upon themselves to sing Happy Birthday to me once in the studio... yeah, I felt special!
After this taping, I'm quite convinced that Paul only wears the black shoes on special occasions... and this was one, even if he didn't know it. So grateful to get the black ones that night instead of those hideous brown ones he's so partial to wearing. Can't remember what happened much in the first show, except that may have been the best 7 Days in 7 Seconds they've ever had. The boys upstairs certainly do have a wicked sense of humour :)
Most of the action didn't happen until the second show - sitting in the front row, and with that came Paul focusing all his attention on kristyleemel after she caught one of the scrunched up pieces of paper he threw. Highlights include Jimeoin throwing a mint at her but failing to tell her to throw it back, Wendy Harmer saying not to worry because when her and Paul shared a flat they had to put newspapers down for him, and Paul saying 'she's a catcher, not a thrower!'. Oh and later on in the show, Colin Lane throwing scrunched up paper at Paul's back, Paul picking it up and throwing it at us. But it came in my direction, and I've still got said piece of paper, haha! The gibberish on it is incredible (and it has 3 of the producers numbers on it, which is a little scary. They're just lucky that I'm the one who caught it and not the psychos sitting behind us).
Oh and how could I forget getting a Happy Birthday from Ted Robinson at the beginning of the show? It went something along the lines of, 'Happy Birthday! We've got a great show coming up!' I think, anyways. Well, he wasn't wrong about the great show! First time since I've become a regular that the second show outdid the first show.
Highlight - almost getting stepped on by Colin Lane as he came over to shake the hands of the people behind us, then Gatesy almost squashing kirrilee_t and me as he went to hug the same people. Not that we noticed much, cause his arse was right in our faces. Worship at the shrine of Stephen 'Gatesy' Gates' arse much??
As soon as the show finished, kristyleemel took it upon herself to get me to meet Paul. Which included getting dragged across the floor chasing after him, being told to stay put and getting Warren, the most awesome First AD around, to get Paul to come back out. And he did! Now, I don't remember much after this, cause you know having one of the people you admire most standing less than a foot away from you can do that to a person. I managed about three words, which I'm still amazed at.
Paul: Whose birthday is it?
Me: (with wide eyes and bright red face and squeaky voice) Mine...
I think he wished me a Happy Birthday at some stage, but I can't be 100% sure, for good reason...
Before I knew it, he was over and had his arm around me. Still surprised I didn't faint. kristyleemel was ordering us to smile so that's why we look a bit retarded. The gorgeous necklace I'm wearing was a gift from kristyleemel :)
kristyleemel was it you that said the picture had a bit of a flash in it cause of the shiny things in the background? Looked like Paul was ready to leave, but at this stage he offered another photo with him. Arm went around me again, I had my hand on his waist (trying not to be too fangirly about this. I'm clearly failing) and as I did this he struck a pose. And stuck his arse out. Considering he did this while I was looking in that direction, I'm surprised I made it out of there alive.
The rest of the night and weekend was a bit of a blur! We got this picture taken just after, outside the studio -
Note my insane smile. Haha.
And to finish, I'd just like to take the time to thank all my girls for making my birthday extra special - seriously, without kirrilee_t, kristyleemel, apurplepatch, suicidalxchaos and ryttu3k, it would've been another nothing, another blip on the radar. It means more to me than you'll ever know ♥ ♥
In conclusion? BEST BIRTHDAY EVER.
Also, if I haven't thanked everyone for their birthday wishes, I'd like to do so now!! Love you all, and thankyou :D
