He's starred in lots of Danish movies (Wildside, After the Wedding, Open Hearts, Adam's Apples, Flickering Lights etc etc) but had smaller roles in two international films, "Tristan" in "King Arthur" (pitifully crap movie) and "Le Chiffre" in "Casino Royale". I first discovered him as the pedantic yet pervy villain in the James Bond movie, but have since watched many of his Danish movies. They're good!
Mmmmm.....yes he can definitely have an effect on one's tummy....as well as other parts of the anatomy. ;)
But I'm going to disagree with you on King Artur....i loved that movie, even though I think Arthur and Gueniver were horribly miscast....the other knights stole the show!
Besides....if not for KA, I may never have discovered Mads...or at least not until he took the pervy villain role....and I don't knoe if I would have been so enamored if that had been my first glimpse.
A couple of the other knights were great, but I don't think there was any show for them to steal...! The movie was just a huge disappointment on so many fronts. A real pity, cos that period of history (ie Anglo-Saxon Britain) is fascinating.
I'll keep enjoying Mads' Danish oeuvre until he gets a decent role in an international film :o)
