or even true most of the time. Look at musicians who make it big. Most of them don't have a passion for what they do, only a passion for making money. On another note, I've known a guy who has been absolutely obsessed with music since birth (and been trying to play guitar shortly after) and he absolutely sucks. I'd take a person with a natural skill over someone with passion, because it's a lot easier to tell if a person is skilled at playing rather than passionate.

It depends on what musical field you are talking about. Classical musicians don't go into the field to make money, because 98% there's not any real money to make.
The passion that I'm talking about is the pure musicianship that can be expressed through playing/singing. If any sits in a practice room long enough and hard enough, they will be able to do anything technical. Anyone can work hard enough to get the notes; however, you can't teach musicianship and interpretation.
It's very difficult to explain.
Also, natural skill is nothing without hard work emotional drive.
