I finally uploaded all of my pictures from Mount Monadnock on my vacation.
Eric loves to climb rocks so he was having a grand old time
I always hate my life when I have to climb rocks, but it's fun anyways
And, of course, we always have to take the hardest, rockiest trail around
There were some really pretty landscapes when we finally broke the treeline for a few seconds
Then back up the mountain
It was really sunny and windy on the mountain every time we broke through the trees
Eric and the cairn stones
He was pretty far ahead of me the whole time, lol
more rocks to climb
Eric being very sneaky
The roots on the trees were doing some pretty crazy things
Taking a break
Out of the woods
Almost to the top
The rocks started to do some funky things
Us at the summit
The plaque at the top, just to prove we made it the whole way
We saw this cute little guy a few times on the way up, and he kept getting really close to us
and we also saw a crane
All in all it was an awesome hike, and we were fortunate to be able to go during peak foliage season. It was definately more comfortable then our last climb in late August (on the hottest day of the year in 80% humidity with not enough water). I wish people could have come with us, but we didn't really plan it all that well.
