Nature for Looloo!

I thought bluegerl would enjoy a nature post today... and it was a beautiful day for an excuse to go out! I didn't go far... it is archery season here and also geese and some other birds are in season, so there are hunters around, and I didn't have anything orange with me. But I found some lovely things at my favorite dock, as long as you don't mind a walk ( Read more... )

Dear, I am sure LooLoo will be absolutely happy to see your lovely and beautiful pics - at least as happy as I was.
Autumn ba your lake, the colours, the fungi and the atmosphere, all is a treat for us!

Autumn is possibly the best time at my lake for pictures!

OOoh my goodness. How lovely. I'm just charging up my mobile (bloody thing LIVES FLAT!) to go and take a piccy of behind my church. It was breathtaking yesterday ( ... )

Maybe it's not my eyes so much as the beautiful things nature chooses to show me if I'll take the time to look under a leaf or look up at the trees.

You may take ANY of my pictures and do ANYTHING you want with them... make them into icons, put them on your wall... anything that makes you happy!

What a gorgeous walk! Our leaves here are not quite as spectacular as yours yet, but enough have fallen to set off my seasonal allergy to the mould that grows on damp autumn leaves (and yes, it has been raining). The colours are good, though, in between sneezes.

The nickname for the wild clematis mess, in UK, is 'old man's beard', which seems fairly appropriate!

That unknown fungus fruiting body is incredibly cool! It has a small face in the centre and might be a goblin...

Your other fungi are lovely - what pretty things they are!

Thank you so much for sharing your walk.

The wild clematis has SO many common names... I've heard old man's beard, traveler's delight, virgin's bower... I can's even remember the rest!

And now that you mention it, I think it does look like a little goblin face!
