hmmm an interesting interpretation on the subject. However, in my opinion I always considered 'deep conversation' or 'deep thought' would have to contain a certain element of meaningful conveyance to it, I guess you can say it has to possess conviction in some form or another. One could engage in deep conversation, but without passion and/or significance the 'meaning' is somehow lost. I guess what I'm saying is that I think meaningful conversation and deep thought (or even an intellectual discussion) go hand in hand

Wow! this post was so....deep!

I think there are so many other factors essential to deep thought though such as wisdom/knowledge, maturity, curiosity, innocence, open-mindedness, experience. I also think that the more we lack these things, the deeper we can be because our minds won't be so in tune with the impossible or the absurd and so we can explore all kinds of beautifully ridiculous possibilities.
Needless to say, I think young children are the deepest thinkers of us all.

Also, I've always considered myself to be superficially deep but i always called it deep-chic. :(

but the question remains, do you have to know to be deep or is the deepness of children something else entirely?
