I think I'm doing ok, all things considered. I've had a ton of well-wishes, and have heard from lots of people that they have had, or know someone who has had, a miscarriage, and that I can talk to them if need be. Many of them I never even knew had had miscarriages. But as I said to my s-i-l, I think more women have them than anyone ever ( Read more... )

I think a lot (!) of first pregnancies end in miscarriage. I read somewhere that sometimes the blood vessel network just doesn't get into place properly the first time, so a lot of times, the pregnancy doesn't 'stick'. Once the process has been started once, though, it is much easier the second time. I think it is possible that I was pregnant briefly and then miscarried back in October. No idea, really. And my sister in law said the same thing.
