Wicked the book and Wicked the musical are very, very different. And even though James Frey made some shit up A Million Little Pieces is still a great read.

I've heard the book and musical are different, but I'm so afraid I'll judge the play based on the book if I read it first.

I started A Million Little Pieces when it came out and he was still credible, then my mom borrowed it to read "real quick" and the big uproar happened where they found out about the lies. So I wasn't going to finish it, but now it's been so long, I figure I can enjoy it as fiction.

I've read #3, #4, #6, and #9. I actually know where #6 is so I could send it to you. Even if you see the play, I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend reading #3. Seriously. And if you're like me and look for social commentary within your novels, I suggest that you have a highlighter nearby. There's some DEEEEEEEEEPPPP shit up in that book, especially if you are a womanist/WOC-feminist.

I actually own all these books, I've just been too lazy/busy/excited (weird as that sounds) to read these particular books. I want to read Wicked. Charmane bought it for me for Christmas and I actually started it, but I don't want to judge the play based off the book. I'm one of those people who says, "The ____ was ok, but the book was waaaaaaaaaay better." I don't want to run the risk of saying that at all since I've wanted to see the play for so long.
