I sorted Pierson's stuff out over the weekend and found a bunch of good stuff - Hanna's, J&J , Charlie Rocket, Gymbo, Gap, Naturinos, See Kai Run, Stride-Rite, etc
( Read more... )
I do! Just list your stuff and make sure you include condition (EUC=Excellent Used Condition). Also note if the price includes shipping or not. I've had really good luck selling and buying on the trading post. I always make sure I ship within a day or two of when the person pays.
With paypal the buyer will send the money to your paypal account. You can either spend the funds in your paypal account by paying someone else or transfer it to your checking account. If the person pays you with their credit card via paypal you'll get hit with fees. You can also specify that the person covers the fees. If they pay using their checking account or paypal balance there are no fees.
I hope I explained that clearly. Let me know if you have anymore questions :)
BIIIIIG help, thanks!! Do you find you have better luck with doing a lot sale vs. individual items (ie 2 pairs of jammies together instead of selling each separate). Also, do used shoes sell? P has tons of EUC (thanks for telling me that, BTW) but will people buy used shoes?
You're welcome :) I've sold shoes on there and for the most part have had pretty good luck. Sean wears a wide so I've had to buy stride rite shoes and they usually always sell.
I've always sold items individually, but i've seen it done both ways.
Pay Pal can be confusing at first to set up. But, it's still worth it if you're planning to buy things from people or sell things to people online.
As far as the Trading Post goes, I have no idea about what advice to give you! Though it does seem mostly geared towards kids items and mom items and pregnancy items, so there's rarely anything for me. I think if the shoes are in decent condition and reasonably priced, someone might buy them.
I've had good luck with it. The user page for the TP provides a link to the post office for estimating shipping costs (I ask people to give their zipcode to estimate the costs).
I've had some stuff sell, some not. But there's no fee for listing items so I figure there's nothing to lose. I've never tried selling stuff as a lot but I've had a few people buy several items at once, which is always really nice.
I haven't tried selling shoes. I probably wouldn't buy any but I have a bunch of handmedown shoes from my nephews.
I never even heard of Trading Post on LJ? It sounds awesome though (now that I am reading people's responses to you). I need to get on that once I have some stuff to sell and time to sell it!
