nice to see your post .. i just learned about this this morning and was shocked .. how giving and yet how utterly harsh nature can be .. although nature has no mind of it's affect
the number of people who lost their lives is staggering .. and each life lost was precious
The part that sucks is that I've been having water/tidal/natural disaster dreams since chilhood, so I have this 'forboding' thing that gets me every time... Brrrr
i read that, and am shocked. i am utterally shocked. the sea is a very gentle, beautiful thing, but has the most awesome power of anything in existance, it commands respect. i have, never in all my years heard of a "9" on the ricter scale. that has got to be hardcore. the article says its the hardest in 40 years, its gaia's way of telling is to shape up. my heart goes out to them all... even now, in a time when i am going through soo much, this shows me that the are others worse off then me, and my thoughts are with em all.

I keep worrying about the mom and fam back in Trinidad. The mountain ranges can only help so much with the storms, and what not. They still get tremors too semi-regularly, and being an island is already crazy enough! That, and the decline of social morals down there makes for one crazy me!
it's insane, how they even bothered to mention "3 americans dead, US is responsible" etc. You mean there are tens and thousands dead and you took in the middle of the paragraph for 3 people? I don't know, just seems like they make americans sound like more important species or something.
