good points all around. i definetly do not agree. in my mind, idolization does not encourage a true-self realziation. thought sitting and looking at a sunset may not work for everyone, but things like that, just being alone and comfortable with oneself, can cause the most self realization in my perspective. i personally count myself among the lucky few who have found himself, and am finally comfortable with my own personality. but you are right, the inability to look up to lawmakers and politicians creates a vacuum of hellish cliques and groups that affect today's youth in drastic and negative ways.

maybe i am being too critical, maybe i am targeting a certain audience or age group but i just feel people tend to look up to someone out of reach to strongly to the point where they have to ask themselves "what would "blank" do" or "how would "blank" react" or even "what would "blank" where".
