wow-- i just watched 'drum line' and holy crap did that make me miss it. i mean, we all know i was a band dork back in the day, but i really do miss the drum cadences and the precision of marching and all of that. it took me a few seconds to remember the name of shubitzky and the 'chuck' part but once i had it back- thats a really powerful memory

our school is way too loser-ish, and so we don't have a marching band of our own. . . and all through sophomore year my English teacher would randomly stop in the middle of class (In the middle of A Tale of Two Cities, i might add, so it had absolutely nothing to do with the text) and try to explain to us how much we were missing out on and how she wished she could just take us to her old high school sometime so that we would get to see one.
