...
I'm amusing myself by saying(well, thinking really, wouldn't want to freak out my host family. Or the dog) the English lines to Lord of the Rings along with the Japanese dub voices. God, I'm such a freak.
Japanese people cannot pronounced Fangorn. At all.

Oh! I got an e-mail from my first host family this morning! Their son is at University in Tokyo, and their daughter is in Australia.
I'm going to be living with him, his wife and their dog! XD
Did you make contact with your host family before you left for Japan?
Also, another question. How much money did you save up before you left on your exchange. I'm saving up quite a bit, but I'd really like to hear from someone who's living out what I'm going to be and know how much you recommend. I'd hate to go broke when I'm there... but seeing how easy it is to go to concerts.... uh... x_X;
Talk to you soon.

Yeah, I did. I mostly emailed with my first host sister, because she had the best English and my Japanese was, remember, essentially none. She told me about my city and my host fam and so on. You're lucky, maybe your host fam will take you to Tokyo to visit him. mine took me to Yamaguchi, where my younger older-host-brother goes to uni.
..I really didn't save much at all. I'm here almost entirely on my parents money. I think I had a little over a thousand of my own... which is not. rotary gives you a monthly allowance, but it'snot much either, at least once you make friends and start going out a lot.
We really should get together for coffee or something when I get back. Which is June 4th.
