Well I suppose this is as good a time as any. I've been duh-ing around the house all morning, so I guess I can update. For those of you who don't know, which I think is most of you, unless you've heard from Kevin: I lost my job at Elmers. Thats right, the one I quit Burton's for, the one I was so completely stoked about and the one that I got fired ( Read more... )

Schwaaaa?

Man that blows. You were good enough to hire on, but you aren't good enough to be told why you were let go? Management sucks.

Pretty much yeah. Lets just say they've added themselves to the list of places Amy won't give her business to anymore. Murphy's being the first.

I am sorry about Elmers, they can f off.
I would try Ruby Tuesday, I have heard they are looking for new people, and I don't know if you are into making coffee, but Starbucks has awesome benefits, and hey, its Starbucks.
I wish you the best of luck!

Nate and Corrine's friend, Sara worked for Ruby Tuesday and they are a TERRIBLE place to work for. Don't apply at Ruby Tuesday.

Thats what I've continually heard about them. Ruby Tuesday is pretty much scratched off my list already.

that totally blows, im sorry, but might i recomend against stoneybrook, the manegement there is almost as bad as burtons, and you will have to deal with a whole bunch of stupid old people (just ask sarah), but i do agree with tera, ruby tuesday might be nice (certainly alot faster pace than either burtons or elmers im sure). also mcmennamins could be a good fit for you, hope it works out.

That's retarded. :(

I'm thinking you'd have better luck finding a waitressing position right now, as finding retail positions right now sucks. People are getting fired and hours cut in retail. Good luck!

P.S. - I think Ruby Tuesday must have high turnover, because it seems I always hear they're hiring.

Yeah they do have really high turn over. I've also heard they're really crappy to work for.

I believe they MUST give you a reason for firing you in writing, or else they are in violation of federal law. Anybody else know the details on this? hang in there Amy!
