I remember memories.

There's an old wonky fan in the room that - I swear to you - is playing the intro to "the Beautiful People" by Marilyn Manson.

I should not ever work in Seattle from 6am to 1pm and then try to party all day and night. It isn't healthy. It probably isn't even possible without crystal meth.

Last night: I know how bitchy this sounds, but I was really hoping Wu-Tang would take care of obnoxious drunk and otherwise inebriated 13-year-olds who might yell things like, "Hey Lupe! Hey Lupe!" and "I'M SO GLAD WE'RE AT TED AND LEO!" and make curiously-timed high-pitched screeches directly into my ear, but clearly I was mistaken. But I suppose that is half of what Bumbershoot's really all about, isn't it? Also, Dave was being (I think temporarily?) replaced by Jason (former tour manager?). I think he was pretty effing rad, frankly. Can we keep him? I saw the best part from backstage though when a mom yelled through the fence, "Ted! You've inspired my 14-year-old with your music and lyrics!"

Saturday: (On my way over to the Lashes' set, Jett drunk-dialed me from the middle of a German cornfield and I was in loose cannon mode. I think I didn't do a thing. I realize now that he and I were together in close quarters at nearly all moments and that it wasn't disasterous actually does amaze me a little.)

Anyway, my boys made me so proud on Saturday. Highlight of pretty much everything. I think I called it "the best show ever, of all time, in the history of shows and showdom. ...Since the Who." It made me so happy just to see them kicking ass and all of those people there for them with the biggest smiles. And who didn't love hearing "the Moat" as a Lashes song? On top of it, I finally got to meet Eric's mom (pretty much the sweetest thing since my mom), which came pretty close to trumping the show, really.

Anyway. I'm recuperating and packing this week. Next week I have a couple more days to work on the record before I drive back down to LA. Holy cow, I hope I lose this headache by then. The drive down at least should be really fun. Mom and baby road trip!
