"... Strip Byers naked; I'm gonna need some clothes."

I got a sudden craving for The X Files, which was annoying as I left the eight video boxsets I have at my parents' house. I wanted to see the Tunguska episode and the "No arm, no test" Krycek scene! So I settled for the movie, but missed the middle part as I was lying on my bed watching it and I dozed off. I'd forgotten how paranoid TXF makes you ( Read more... )

the x files, nostalgia

"What actually happened to Mulder's sister, Samantha?" Well, she IS dead.

I remember Mulder seeing her ghost whatever and playing with her and a bunch of other see-through children on a dark hill, to some really cool Moby music. And ehm... She's been cloned, raised by cigarette smoking man for a while, something from the "Paper Hearts" episode, is she smoking mans daughter? *can't keep it all straight anymore, not sure I ever could*

I'm pretty sure that she's the smoking man's daughter, but then, Mulder is, too, isn't he?

And about Samantha -- I would agree with everything Indy says. I should ask my sister, though. She's the most hardcore X-Files fan I know.

*pets sister* It was she who got me into that, and she, actually, who introduced me to my first slash -- Krycek/Mulder. *sighs happily* *hugs sister*

Speaking of which, Red -- have you ever seen Once a Thief? It's a Canadian drama with Nick Lea as one of the stars (and absolutely fantastic slash potential), only 2 episodes of which are on DVD. I've seen those two, but I want to see more. Colin was apparently in an episode. ^_^

Also, *smirks* "Strip Byers naked; I'm gonna need some clothes." Best line in the movie.

Damn, there don't appear to be any Once A Thief torrents :( Fanstastic slash potential, huh? I remember being really anxious to see Vertical Limit for Nic!

Colin was apparently in an episode. ^_^ Hmm, that's pretty interesting because there are quite a few of us WL fans who also love TXF. And there's nothing really linking the two shows! The only possible explanation is that we simply have great taste :p

Also, love the icon! One of my favourite bits in Green Screen!

"I'm pretty sure that she's the smoking man's daughter, but then, Mulder is, too, isn't he?" *giggles* Yes, I think so...

I adore the X Files... Now I want to watch some too! (I have the "All Things" ep on my computer, that's probably my very favorite)

Without watchin the episode again, she somehow ended up with the CSM and his family, was tested on (by the aliens, I think), ran away to a hospital (where the CSM eventually showed up to take her back), and was then taken by something into the "Starlight" that supposedly takes children when they are about to die a horrible death. Granted, they still end up dead, but they don't suffer. That's the episode, kind of in a really small nutshell, as long as I'm remembering correctly.

Great episode though. Now I want to go watch it!

Thanks! Wow though; confusing! I love TXF fondly, but there needs to be a X Phile Brainwashing machine which gives us instant plot knowledge!

You're welcome :)

I know, so much of the show is still confusing to me. Ask me about the mythology after, say, season 6 and I have no idea what's going on! The whole supersolider thing...don't understand it. I guess there's nothing to do but hope it someday dawns on me!

"The whole supersolider thing..." Well, she was a normal soldier, only that she was LUCY LAWLESS, and that gives her super funky men-kicking powers. *is being silly* ;)

I think I have that on the shelf in my bedroom.
*loving strokes the cover*

Hell I remember that I was coming back from New York when that issue came back.
Ah yes...band trips.

I can't tell you anything about that show anymore because the plotlines go so messed up that I don't know what the hell is going on anymore ( ... )

There were so many plotlines and bits! I did prefer the individual episodes with real mystery, like in Season 1 and 7 (those which stick out in my mind). Around Season 4/5 it was good but hard if you missed an episode out!

I need to watch the entire series from season 1 to seaosn 9, but then I still don't think I'll understand what is going on.

Hee! VoxCon where we all meet up, get totally drunk/stoned so we can't move and sit paralysed through nine seasons. That's one way to solve it!

Noooo! You darn shippers! I ran out of the room today when I finally got round to seeing the end of Existence! Pssh :p But yes - Chris Carter was seemingly rather vague about what happened, from what I can('t) remember! No idea about super soldiers either; far too much like Dark Angel!

Ahah, Voxcon! We should set a date, time and place three years from now for a really Voxcon. Let everyone save what they need to so they can come. That would be effing awesome.

I loved Dark Angel. I think I might go buy the boxsets.
