To those of you who have previously quit their jobs;

Help! It's nearly two in the morning and I need this for tomorrow. How do I hand my notice in? I know I have to write down that I am leaving so that they have it on paper, but all I have so far is; Dear Bhs, I am writing to inform you that as of Sunday the 3rd of September 2006 I am handing in ( Read more... )

Exactly, no-one's ever explained this handing in of the notice to me before! But people also put lots of emphasis on a CV, acting like it takes two million years to complete when really it's so straightforward! Priorities, people.

I was going to say thank you, but I couldn't think of a successful way of wording it so the sarcasm was present. There needed to be sarcasm.

Sounds good to me. I've quit two jobs in the past nine months (although this last one was a lot easier since my boss was my mom's best friend). The first one, I almost wrote the same thing and thanked my boss for everything, even though I hated her.

Hahaha! I couldn't face thanking Bhs. Ok, the people aren't totally evil really, but I hated it! You should've been sickly sweet and thankful :p

Sounds good to me, and if the Record of Employment over there has the option, it'll state that you're returning to school.

Yay! Notice handed in and not handed back with a "not good enough" notice attached. (It seemed like homework!) Very had not to write "kthxbye" at the end!

Sweet! The last time I did it, I did it much more dramatically. I called my boss aside, told her she was making me miserable and then handed her a one line "As of month/day/year, I resign my position of..."

But I wouldn't recommend doing that ;)

I have a right to state my opinion whether you or whomever else doesn't like it. You have NO idea how the situation went down with that customer, it was horrible! If I can stop other people from doing business with her by stating what a horrible experience it was for me than so be it.

Ok, sure. I understand that I don't now what happened, and I'm sorry if I came across as rude to you, I was just making a personal observation. Don't mind me! :)
