Career plans? I don't know about that! I am going to stick with the sciences. Things are going pretty well here. I see that you're in the applying process. Good luck to you! I look forward to reading how it turned out : )

I highly, highly recommend anything by Robin McKinley, and then also Graceling and Fire by Kristin Cashore. They still feature het-couples, but the relationships are much more ... real than anything in a LaNora book. God love her, but she writes a formula, every time.

I also recommend Swordspoint by Ellen Kushner. I think I told you about that one when we were at the Co-op - it features male/male relations and some seriously twisted morals, and swordfighting. :)

Robin McKinley? Sunshine! I think I started to read that. Or I was in line and didn't quite get there... It has been on my list, though!

Lucky. I wish my sweet tooth would disappear.

I second the Robin McKinley recommendation and also recommend the novel Palimpsest which is...kind of a dark-erotic-fairytale-thing, I guess. But there is a lot of romance, everybody is at least slightly queer and no one gets married at the end.

Palimpsest. I'll look into it. Immediately! Everything, everywhere, all the time should be at least slight queer.
