si i think i am going to quit my job teaching and go back to school to get my phd in behavioral psycology.

i say do what is in your heart....you will never be happy with what you are doing if your heart isnt in it

i bet you are a really awesome teacher...but if in your heart you feel your passion lies elsewhere then i say do it

im always for trying to better oneself and learn new things and new ways of helping people

and...hey we need to hang out soon again....joe loved you!(my one friend you met at the way out..him and beth want you to hang out with us again!)

Look at all your options, check out schools, and scholorships, and then if you want to go for it. If you find you miss teaching you can go back to it after you get a bigger degree, or you could even look at doing both at the same time, it may kill your social life for a few years, but it would be a way to go to school and still work, money is goooodddd.
What ever choice you make will be the right one for you.

Like AnnA said you could still teach with something like a GTA position, most of the undergrad classes here are taught or assisted with by Grad students.
It would be great to call you Dr. Andrew and behavioral Psyh is a great feild.

i think i might get my D.D. (docterate in divinaty) and be a Dr. any way. thaks for the advice

I'm all about it. Although, would you be leaving st. louis, or going to school here in town? I have to wonder, given our loose apartment plans.

I think you're a damned awesome teacher - definitely someone who makes me feel better when I feel craptastic about my skills :) And you're definitely making a difference to your students. But you'd also be an amazing psychologist and could probably help even more people out. You wouldn't be high and mighty like some psychs I've met who think they are gods because they're doctors. And it helps that you're incredibly easy to talk to.
I think the GTA idea would be really great for you. You really need to be in a position where you can be with people and help them figure stuff out - it's just you.
but what do I know, I *still* don't have a job... haha, if you quit, can I have yours? ;)
