Whee. I'm Cranky, Yo...

It's a tad chilly--for Los Angeles. It's 54 degrees, a tad breezy, and the pollen's up. I'm all itchy. Still, I'm on my own all day and don't really feel like staying indoors for all of it, so I'm gonna go for a walk. The primary objective is a pair of shoes for work. I hate shopping these days. Haaaaaaate it. I'd like to look well put-together, ( Read more... )

That's how I feel too!
...minus the lesbian attention. That's one thing I've never gotten hahaha

I don't mind "trendy" once in a while, but I don't like bright colors and they don't look good on me (being non stick-like and with way too much bewb)

T-shirts, jeans, and flip flops are my clothes of choice but...that doesn't work in all situations :/ darn.

It's kind of flattering, but I'm taken and don't want to falsely advertise. (.__.')

You do have a cute personal style, though. Even your casual/daily look is well-coordinated. ^.^V These days, I see flip-flops almost everywhere! Didn't see them at the recent funeral, but some people wore sneakers. The Hub wore casual clothes, though he wore a corduroy blazer. SoCal's really informal!

LOL! True enough hahaha

I...just like being comfy. And that pretty much means lots of tshirts...although as of late I've been trying to wear/buy slightly less plain ones/ones that are nicer (something slightly dressier) just because.

...my day to day is just...jeans and my work uniform shirt which ain't flattering on me at ALL hah.

I love my flipflops. I have shiny black "dressy" ones with a heel hehehe.

I don't think I'd survive anywhere else than SoCal just because I'm used of being a casual bum ^^'

I went shopping today with Leah for the first time since she was in elementary/middle school. (She's 21. Seriously? 21?) She works at Charlotte Russe. The girl has become a fashion plate. She looks so....European. I felt so old and dated T___T

Anyway, my point is....I feel ya. My current work style oscillates between pencil skirt/cardigan and black pants/something uninspiring on top. And yet today I found nothing. All the clothes were too trendy, too cheaply made, too neon, too sheer. I came away with a set of bracelets and a compact mirror. I almost got a pair of golden-yellow tights, but they would have been too short, causing dreaded low-crotch.

Once I'm home I instantly transform into my true fashion self--fuzzy Darth Vadar pants and a sweatshirt.

I do find pinterest more helpful than tumblr for fashion exploration. You'd think all that time I spend on poupee girl would be worth something, but not so much :\

21?! Where'd the time go? Charlotte Russe is way too fashion-forward and young for me. I don't necessarily want to look dowdy, but I don't like all the bright and sheer stuff. It's embarrassing when someone dresses too young and too trendy.

Where are the freakin' tights? Why can't they fit me? :( Also, they can be a tad sheer sometimes, even when they're supposed to be opaque.

True fashion self is awesome: loose pants or leggings, Dir en grey tee, and a wacky cap.

I'll try pinterest for fashion, thanks. Poupee's inspirational, but not life-plausible for most of us I think. Poo.

Yeah, really. I used to be able to find at least one wearable thing in those teen-type stores, but I guess those days are over.

The tights were at H&M. I was also concerned about sheer-ity. They were cable knit, but those are even worse when they get a bit sheer.

Today I'm decked out in yoga pants, an old M*A*S*H t-shirt (like, seriously old....from my sister's high school drama club production. In 1997) and a flannel shirt, probably also from the 90's. God, I love the comfort of my own home.
