NOBODY is posting on LJ this week. I don't post a lot myself because well, I've been busy and not with anything at all interesting. Dealing with sick kids is just a bummer

I was thinking earlier that not much posting is going on this week. I'm no better. I've been busy at work and don't really care to post at home most nights.
Every few weeks I get tempted to by a 360, but I really can't justify the expense right now. I've got plenty to occupy my time, no matter how amusing a drunken cursing Brit can be.
Have you looked at the new LOTR MMO? They're having a free "world tour" period coming up. I haven't been following it because my home PC can't handle it. I've heard that Vanguard is supposed to be da bomb as well.
I wouldn't mind seeing Grindhouse. I wouldn't normally go for such movies but this one seems so utterly over the top that it should be interesting. Given that I usually see about 1 movie a year in theaters, and I've already seen one, I'll likely have to rent it.
Honestly, while WoW is still raking it in, I don't see a huge additional market for MMOs. It would have to be DRAMATICALLY better than WoW for it to take off. Personally, I hope the Conan MMO kicks ass. Lord of the Rings has the potential to attract the "Kiddies", so I'm not sure it would be a decent crowd.
The thing with the 360 is this: if you have a HDTV, surround sound, and cable/DSL, you NEED one. Playing Oblivion on such a setup vs. hunched over a fucking PC on a desk... it's worth the smack.
