That's my girl... but be aware of the other downside, the road rage effect. I've had my own face rubbed in that lately, and I've had to take steps my ego doesn't like.

well golly daddoo, what finally rubbed your face in it? =P and it hasnt quite taken me over, living in europe taught me a special tolerance for people staring since they dont so much have that physical boundary rule. it's when they're physically turning to watch me walk thru the store, or sticking their heads out of their trucks to make a comment that i feel it's my turn to say something.

Really, I'm glad you make a response, especially one that gives you some satisfaction but doesn't land you in jail.

I'm particularly proud of you for gleening some insight from your foreign experiences. Most people return from the other side of the pond thinking that Europe has returned to barbarism.

You go, kiddo. ;-)

Good for you...and I still can't believe some people still do that. (Well, the looking I can believe, but not the whistling and comments.)

Oh, ha. I didn't mean it like that. Let's try this again:

Without regard to who the woman in question is, the looking, to me, is innocuous. People will look; it's in their nature, and it's not rude if they don't stare. Whistling and catcalling, on the other hand, are not only rude, but I'm surprised they still happen.

And if anyone is going to do any of the above acts, even the rude ones, they're at least showing some good taste by directing them at you.

How's that? (-:
