OMG HOME FINALLY.

Met many awesome people whose LJ names I have utterly forgotten. Saw three (THREE!!!) fantastic MCR shows. Roadtripped with seimaisin, shrift, and fairestcat from Chicago to Detroit. Did not get lost in downtown Detroit. (win ( Read more... )

Yeah, Gerard did a lot of that "we're gonna take a long break" thing at the Portland shows, and I was all "Yeah, whatever, BEEN THERE DONE THAT, DISBELIEVE."

So, you know, it wouldn't surprise me if they wind up with, like, a weekend off after the tour. *g* And then they go out on something else.

That's cool that your trip was so awesome!

It's like when Gerard said that the next album would have more of a stripped-down, punk feel to it. That was about six months before writing The Black Parade. *laughs forever*

All I ask is that they take enough of a break for Bob's wrists to recover!

Thanks! It was the most fun EVER. I really, really wish that there was another Midwest show I could manage to make my way to.

I am probably not supposed to be considering it, but PART of me is going "you know, you could totally take your tax return and go to Madison Square Gardens..."

Of course, the second I did that, they'd change the date on the damn thing, but it's really tempting. They're far too much fun live.

Also, it's totally their next album that's gonna be punk, dontcha know. *dies laughing* I love Gerard, but that day will never come while he writes the songs.

It's probably a good thing that my tax rebate won't come until *after* the St. Louis show. *bites fingernails*

Right! Because five bandmembers + a keyboardist = PUNK ALBUM. Oh, Gerard. *g*

*hugs you* I'm sad that you couldn't come! But at least Gerard isn't talking about taking two years off after this tour anymore.

They're crazy workaholics!

I'm very sad I wasn't there, for real, dude.

I honestly think they would lose their minds from sheer boredom if they ever tried taking more than a couple of months off at a time.

*hugs you*

So glad you had such a fantabulous time!

Hahaha. I really do worry about MCR sometimes. They really need to take some time off! Poor, silly creatures.

*beams* It was FUCKING FANTASTIC.

I suspect if they ever took more than a couple of months off at a time, they'd all go completely insane from boredom. But they do need to take long enough off that Bob's wrists can recover. *looks stern*

You are probably right about the boredom thing. Maybe Bob can start drumming with his feet! Have we seen his toes? I bet he could hold drumsticks wit them!

Um. *is special*

Hee! Well, he's got a kickdrum to deal with already, so... probably not. But I'm sure if anyone could figure that out, it'd be Bob!

Holla, on a totally unrelated note, you asked about my bass lessons? They were dog years ago but I had 'em with Rob (cannae remember last name :( ) at Schmitt Music in Roseville.

Ah, okay! That gives me a place to start in. Of course, this is a little theoretical at the moment, since the bass in question is in Oklahoma and I am... not. *g*
