Putting together a garage band = putting together a gaming campaign, in a lot of ways.

(That simile will probably only make sense to two or three of you.)

Distract me? I have a bunch of medium-priority, highly tedious tasks sitting in my inbox staring balefully at me.

Heh. Yes, I bet. Especially trying to put together the kind of gaming campaign in which the party actually fits together well, rather than just throwing a bunch of players with separately created characters together and hoping they work it out.

Um. I've been finding thinking about who I'd cast in a bandom AU of The Breakfast Club pretty distracting.

bandom_ships has a new manifesto up (Frank/Mikey) and that was an enjoyable mini-timesink.

hackthis has writing some awesome Iron Man fic...

And then people realize that they're overextended or just not that into it, so they leave and have to be replaced, and then people have disagreements over the direction that the campaign/band is going and either leave in a huff or the whole thing falls apart. The parallels work surprisingly well, actually.

Bandom AU of Better Off Dead? "This whole mountain's made of pure snow! Think of the street value of this thing!" Heh. Probably doesn't work all that well, but it's amusing to think about.

I suspect that it's because I entered the fandom after Mikey and Alicia were already married, but I have problems imagining him paired with anyone else. Seriously, every single one of the AUs I'm writing with carleton97? Mikey and Alicia are together, if not actually married.

Oooh, hackthis writing Iron Man fic? Sweet. :D

Man, TOO MANY choices! Um. Well, girl!Bob/jailbait!Spencer would be quick & easy to finish off. The Shannon/Bob in the girl!Gee 'verse should be relatively short, I think. We've got a lot written of vegan!vampire!Frank/werewolf!Bob, but, well, that thing's gonna be epic.
