So it turns out that "Duh" was coined by a 15th century fransiscan, or do you believe that it predatest his piece? :D

And of course men's water gets dirty no matter how much they wash - they're MADE from dirt. You don't want to wash them too much though, when the water finally does come clean it'll be because there's nothing left.

Or alternately, 15th century men tended to have much dirtier jobs than 15th century women. Hmmmm.

Undoubtedly, there is a Latin cognate of "duh"! Duh! That, or it's just innately human to say it. *laughs*
