I love books, but my Kindle is wonderful. I can read books I wouldn't normally be able to or afford, plus I took it travelling, so. Yeah. 500 books in one Kindle compared to the three or four paperbacks my travel partner took.

I think it'd be helpful to be able to have choices at work instead of only having whatever book I bring.

You can have both, love both. I think of my Kindle as shelves--shelves of books I can take everywhere, always.

I feel guilty just thinking about it, even though iTunes has so many free books that I'll probably end up getting one.

You move enough times and physical books lose their allure. Also, I find these days I want to read fic much more than I want to take a chance with profic (fic is much more of a sure thing).

I still buy hardcopies of some things. Stuff I want to have Just In Case or reference books which don't work as well in e for me.

The fic aspect is a big draw for me, I'll admit.

And AO3 makes it soooooooooo easy. Well, their epubs don't agree with my Sony all that well, but it's a known issue. They play much better with Kindles and Nooks, I believe.

I have a Kindle Fire, and looovveee it. I treat it the same way I do pirating music, oddly enough. If I really, truly end up liking it, I'm going to buy the hard copy anyway.
