Here's to hoping I graduate in March

So I got the talk...by 2 different instructors.

Lemme back up.
The "talk" (as in relation to school) is that moment when an instructor looks at the portfolio pieces you plan to submit in 5-6ish weeks, and tells you, in a nutshell, that he doesn't think you're going to pass the portfolio to graduate.

What are you aiming for? I know you're in Game Art, but what do you see yourself doing after graduating?

For the three environments thing, I think it makes sense to have different ones to see what you're capable of. Unless you have one *really* good environment that's going to knock someone's socks off, your employer is going to ask you, "Okay, what else do you have?" (That sucks if the panel only told you about this now, on such short notice.)

Aiming for prop modeler. I'm just labeling myself env/prop modeler because I put my objects in a scene anyway.

Yup, short notice. I do have a couple of other environments, but their textures have to be redone anyways. But after having so many students fail these past 2 quarters, our main instructor went to go see if they could provide the feedback that were the basis of the pass and fail students. One of the things he found out was that they wanted more environments. That, and they will NOT pass anything short of an A+++ quality portfolio.

I'm just a little frustrated that I'm going back and forth between what one instructor says over another.
