My only beef with Tumblr is that I haven't found a simple way, yet, to follow people and/or discover new people easily on it.
With Twitter it's easy, I just look at the TCAF feed of 2011 exhibitors. That's how I "follow" artists without having to bother logging in each time. Not everybody I'm interested in posts there in a regular fashion, but it's enough to learn things. A lot of the old LJ gang have ended there.
Facebook is a silly "watch me" thing. I got two accounts over two years there and I've never learned anything interesting in using them.
I've moved my own postings over to G plus, under a "real" looking name which, of course, is not my real name. Doesn't matter, because I'm not an artist.
There's no perfect system. Heck, Tumblr is not immune to attacks either, and I find the fact that I can't easily comment on people's entry slightly frustrating sometimes. Not very good for conversations, that's for sure.
Aww, hope you don't leave LJ. I'm not a fan of Tumblr.
BTW Is the 'ATLA : The Promise' book a sequel of ATLA? As in 'we get to find out what Aang & the gang are up to after Season 3'? Could we perhaps find out what happened to Zuko and his mom? *gets excited*
I won't leave LJ. I have too many icons I like to use, ha ha!
I don't have any details about the upcoming ATLA book. All I know is the info release, and it does mention that the events would take place after season 3. As for Zuko's mom, your guess is as good as mine. But frankly, if I was the writer, that would be one big can of worm I'd be terrified to tackle. The fandom would fall on it like vultures and may just tear it apart! Yikes!
If they do tackle the Zuko/Ursa reunion, I agree with you that it'll be a tricky topic to handle.
Some fans have their own views on how it should occur and the writer might not choose that direction which could lead to upset fans. Nonetheless, I would really love to see it, no matter how the writer presents it ^___^
