Making this public just because.
k. so.
Sorry if I get a bit fangirly, by the way. o.o I can't help it. I met my idol.
Got there at about 1:30, which was actually a really really good time since we didn't have to wait all too long. I got Kisou at the FYE booth, and THE wristband...
Um.
The bands that played before Dir en grey, save for 10 Years, were...sorry, but they were HORRIBLE. Walls of Jericho and Deadsy especially, but whatever. I wasn't there for them anyway.
So then at around 5:10 (FOUR MINUTES LATE according to Matt)
Diru came on.
We freaked out.
We meaning me, Angie and Matt... Lawn seats suck, but geezus, the sound was like. PERFECT. Save for the tech issue with Kyo's mic during Clever Sleazoid, everything was totally awesome. And we brought binoculars...or Angie and Matt did at least. o.o
They played:
-GDS
-Clever Sleazoid
-Saku
-Kodoku...
-Ryoujoku no Ame (*_____*)
-The Final (OMG AMAZING)
-Dead Tree
-Audience Killer Loop (yayyayayyaayay~~)
-Third Empire
In that order! I think I might have gotten The Final and Dead tree messed up but...sorry.
They were amazing.
During Kodoku, Kyo did the blood thing. *_* And his shirt was off and it was just plain...freaking sweet, put simply. Ryoujoku no Ame was so freaking amazing played live, and I really wished that it would start raining again during that song. Because then I'd totally freak out, but...I already when I heard that intro so...yeah.
The Final was defiantly the best song played.
At the end when Kyo goes "sakase yo"...He held out that "SAAAAAAAAAA" note for about...Oh, twenty, thirty seconds? YEAH. That's some mad talent right there, and I thought that the recorded one from Germany was long. O.O
Dead Tree was fun. I kept zooming in on Kaoru and Toshiya...And then Kyo did the thing with his hips and smeared blood over his chest and ohgod that was awesome.
I wasn't expecting Audience Killer Loop! It was awesome though, since the only time I can recall them playing that is during the W&W dvd. The bass was quite lovely though. ^^
And finally, The IIIRD Empire. That. Was pure awesomeness written all over it. Enough said. I've never screamed "SPARK AND SPARK!!!" so loud before. Kyo didn't shout out last song though, which kind of made me confused. o_o;
Everyone was rocking out, Totchi and Die (who even went up to Shinya for a while!!) were having a blast, Kaoru saluted and Kyo...Well...HE SHONE AS ALWAYS! :D KYO WAS SO AMAAAAAAAAAZING, you'd never know that he hadn't been feeling that well previously, and he did the bucket thing at the end. Yay~~. Um. Totchi was wearing this stripped jacket thing...and it was open. :D He's got a nice chest. ^^ The others I couldn't see all to well, and Kyo was wearing the tight black pants and the black tshirt. Simple, yet...HE TOOK THE SHIRT OFF DURING SAKU AND I SQUEELED. *shot*
Sooo.
Waited in line, and met some awesome people (HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!! <333). Um...I was the one with the legshirt over the hotpink long-sleeve shirt, and the pink skirt over jeans. o.o
And then...
SCREEEEEEEEEEEEAMS OF OMG YAAAAAAY. and all that. ^___^
I was freaking out, and then when I was close enough...
It was Kaoru.
And Die.
I started shaking, but...yeah. Um. Told Kaoru that it ment a lot that he came and he smiled. :D He's goregous in person...And then Die...*_* Um. yeah. I was such a dork though..."Thank you so much for comming here, Kaoru." xD; He smiled though. Kind of. He looked really tired, but really...If you were travelling around a forein country spazzing out like that, you would too. :P Um. So. Die. *______* I shook his hand, said thanks and all that, and I gave him a necklace with a red guitar (I have the same one, except it's silver) and when I gave it to him, he looked so...GAH! He was so cute. He like, stared at it, and then he was all "OH! It's a gift!" and he smiled. YES I GOT A DIE SMILE. A shy Die smile. But it was still a Die smile. <33333 *obsessed*
Die's hair is much darker up close...Either that my eyes were all distorted since it was kind of cloudy out and plus my head was just one giant...I don't know what to call it, but it was bad. >_< I couldn't feel my ears for a while. xD Kaoru looked awesome, as always~. His hair looked a lot darker than what I've seen before in pictures, and his left arm covered in tatoos didn't bug me as much as it did before in this one picture I saw. :D
so yeah.
I had fun.
I'm freaking tired, and my voice is dead but OMG IT WAS WORTH IT. O.O
<33333333
It's been four years since I got into Dir en grey, and to be able to see them live...was just...surreal, almost. *_* They are amazing, and they seem like really, really nice people and I hope that they decide to come around this area again soon. They'll get a warm welcome, for sure. ^_^
And to conclude this, I'd just like to thank both Kaoru and Die for being there. Kaoru has been my favorite member ever since I got into Dir en grey, and to be able to shake his hand like that was just...surreal, almost. He's my idol, my inspiration, and I hope that I get to see him again really soon. And Die has always had a special place in my heart. His personality from what I've seen onstage and in the backstage clips is just, simply put, amazing, and I love him for it.
Thank you for making life easier when everything seemed hopeless and hard, and I hope that you continue to make more amazing music in the future. ♥
