Linda (from work) passed away Friday morning after a 3-year battle with breast cancer.  She was only 45.  I knew about it Friday, which made for a very subdued workplace - I don't know anyone here who didn't like her and respect her.  So, I'm off to another wake.  I don't feel right going to her funeral tomorrow - I didn't know her well enough, and ( Read more... )

Say hello to Apollo and Artemis. They've been with us since Monday, and are finally starting to feel comfortable around me (They've seen me the least, so it's not too surprising). We have kittens!  They're a 13-week-old brother-sister pair.  The brother supposedly takes after his father, a big yellow tomcat, and his sister takes after her mother, a small grey-black tiger.  They came with the names Handsome and Nina.  We're looking for new names in the next few days.  I've suggested: Robin and Marian (married siblings?) or  ( Read more... )
