I have had nothing but bad experiences with this kind of thing. Admittedly, I'm not not a good salesman/pitchman, and I never made got enough people to make enough in profit for myself.

waitressing (i don't know if you've ever done it) can be fast, ridiculous money depending on where you do it. i'd recommend going to portsmouth for that, but if you're staying in nash i guess it could work out too. i mean, waitressing is a bitch, as is bartending (DON'T bartend.) you've read my lj so you know. but yeah, working in food is guaranteed money, and its stimulating, and you meet crazy, crazy, crazy people. people may laugh about "oh well she's just a waitress" but its honestly one of the best jobs you can have at this age because you build customer service skills and human resource experience just waiting tables.

depending on where you do it is key. I dont know where is good. I think I could make a pretty good waitress because I'm crazy enough for it, but where I hosted they didnt make much. Whats the bitch about bartending I thought it made huge money?

not even close to as much as waitressing. i bartended at a restaurant where the cheapest thing was a twenty five dollar burger and we charged a fortune for drinks, and the waitstaff ECLIPSED me by how much they brought home a night. you don't make nearly as much in tips and the wait staff sometimes wont include you on the drinks you make for the table they're serving. this also isn't so much a stereotype of the industry as it is a fact: being a girl bartender is fucking HARD. regardless of where you're working, if you're behind a bar, you'll deal with alot of people who frequent bars, and alot of drunks, and i've had some of the most respectable wall street investment banker guys be the most sleazy. waitressing at hotels is huuuuge, huge money; you could work at the sheraton in nashua.

lol sorry to ramble, i just feel like working in restaurants gets this rep for either being laughable or for being, like, the absolute most fabulous thing like EVER! and it drives me nuts. working in food is toouuugh.
