I know it works just as a poem, but when I wrote it I was thinking of the tune to the beginning of 'Ize of the World' by the Strokes. If you know it, then great, if not, that's fine. I thinkit came out really Strokes-ish, except the llast verse. That sounds like Bob Dylan. Hee.

It's a gun at your head,
It's the world at your feet,
You've got a hundred different ways,
To escape defeat,
You've got a two-step dance,
But a one-step girl,
You've got a lit fuse
That sends your mind awhirl
So don't worry, sugar,
He says, I'll be alright,
Just need a leap of faith, sugar,
And to hold on tight,
You've got no way out,
But a dozens ways in,
And one little thing,
That's getting under your skin,
You've got no hands on the wheel,
You've got your head in the air,
You think you're all that, baby,
But there ain't nothing there
Yeah, this world that you made,
Won't last the end of the day,
Just know you're going down singing,
And you'll piss life away,
It's just one little fib,
He says, so don't hold a grudge,
I says, I believe you, honey,
But tell that to the judge.
